Summing up our month of volunteering
It’s been a month since our volunteering work as Help UA Trucks has started.
So it’s a good time to make a short summary of the things we did.
We spent 76 150 pounds to buy cars and 12 230 pounds to transfer them to Ukraine.
26 567 pounds from the total amount were a donation.
Again, more than one million UAH was collected thanks to YOU.
19 cars were bought:
10 are in the combat already
5 are waiting to be sent to the front line ( including paint, repair, maintenance, etc.)
4 will be sent from London on 4th of May
* currently we have orders for 4 more cars, we are working on the purchase now.
We work both with small funds or private volunteers. Also we are buying cars to army brigades directly for money from your donations
Total of 6 cars were partially or completely bought from donations!!!
Logistics have been set up and next week the first car carrier with 5 or 6 cars will go on the door-to-door route London-Lviv.
Which means that our initiative group will not spend tens of hours racing cars in person!
The cars are not new and these cars break unfortunately, that’s true.
According to our statistics from 19 cars, we had problems with 6 cars.
Project # 2 Hilux - after arriving in Kiev at the service station we’ve found problems with the chassis. It’s waiting for spare parts now.
Project # 4 Pathfinder was bought with a problematic clutch. Which was renewed on the road and replaced in Lviv. The car went to the front line the next day in the Dnipro region.
Project # 5 Navara - we’ve changed the starter and fixed wiring in London. In Khmelnytsky, the on-board computer was rebooted and the next day he went to fight near Izyum.
Project # 10 L200 - unfortunately during transportation in Germany there was spotted a problem with the engine. We’ve sent a carriage the next day and in a day it will stand in Lviv at the service station.
Project # 11 L200 - major maintenance was made: replaced all lubricants, filters, wheels, repaired the cardan shaft, turned off the problem air conditioner and went to Lozova
Project # 15 Ranger - bought a repair kit for the cylinder head gasket. Upon arrival in Lviv it will be replaced.
Also few important thighs.
The team has been working more closely and efficiently compared to the first weeks. New participants joined and we are currently looking for a scrum master / administrator.
We have about 7 active participants and up to 30 people who help at various levels: procurement, transportation, border crossing, service stations, delivery to military units, humanitarian
We've been working as a ‘post’ also!
The cars that we delivered directly to the units were filled with humanitarian (address deliveries and general one). Packages were sent from Britain, Germany, Poland and Western Ukraine from hand-to-hand.
We are going to raise funds for a truck carriage from London to Lviv on May 4th, so please join!
Glory to Ukraine! 💙💛
And few more pick with delivered cars.
Special thanks to our amazing crew and all volunteers involved Oleg Kupin Eugene Chernov
